HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

jason and i went to his work today, where they were having a halloween parade. all the girls were princesses or fairies and all the boys were transformers or iron mans...men? it definitely reminded me of many halloweens past. i'm glad in up in berkeley, but part of me wishes i were in los angeles taking my sisters trick-or-treating. additionally, my mom just called me: she can't decide whether she wants to be a flapper or the devil wears prada (i.e. a devil wearing prada). how cute is that?

thinking of paris.

i was cleaning out my box of 3942039403 million photographs today and i came across my paris pictures. i was so excited and hopeful on that trip - i guess we all were. well, specifically tara and i. not that i'm this totally hardened person now, but i was more naive then. i can't believe we just did it - i'm so concerned with money now that i can't even imagine just wanting to go paris and then buying a ticket. just like that. now that i think of it, tara and i bought our tickets and didn't even plan on any sort of lodgings. we just expected that everything would work out once we got there. HA! all in all, i know that i need to travel soon. otherwise i'll end up feeling like a sad grownup. this summer i think - paris and i will be reacquainted.

it's dreamy weather we're on.

the name of this blog comes from "alice," by tom waits. jason once wrote me a love letter using lyrics from this song because our names are, yes, almost the same. the love letter was titled: set me adrift;

"Set me adrift and I'm lost over there
And I must be insane
To go skating on your name
And by tracing it twice
I fell through the ice
Of Alice
There's only Alice."

Call me sentimental... SENTIMENTAL.
